Nothing beats the experience of live music, in great settings where audiences and band members alike create a unique atmosphere while enjoying music that has served as the backdrop for our history and pop culture. That’s exactly what the St. Charles Concert Band has been doing since 1870 – serving as a cultural anchor for the community and bringing audiences together through music. All of our performances are celebrations, offering audiences a fun and free opportunity to experience the big songs that represent music’s past and future.
So grab a chair, your friends, your dancing shoes, a picnic, – whatever will make it a great time for you – and join us for one of our shows! It’s your evening and your experience! Our assortment of tunes is vast, spanning over 100 years of history and modern popular music.

OUR DIRECTOR
ANDREW PULLIAM
Andrew is the new director of the St Charles Municipal Band. He has played oboe in the Municipal Band for 7 years. Andrew teaches and directs orchestras in the Webster Groves School System. He lives in St Charles, MO.
OUR ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
SISTER GAIL BUCKMAN
Sister Gail will be celebrating her 30th year with the band this season! She has been our assistant director for 29 of those years, has served on the Board of Directors, and has been the band president for the past 9 years. Outside of the band, Sister Gail is the Director of Bands at St. Gabriel the Archangel School in St. Louis. In May she will have completed her 53rd year of teaching.
MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
COLLEEN CHRUMA - BOARD Member Colleen has been a member of the band for 29 years. She plays alto saxophone and is also a member of the Board of Directors. Colleen is the director of the Consolidated Catholic Schools Band in St. Charles and is the General Music teacher at St. Cletus School, teaching grades PreK-8th. She and her husband John, also a member of our band, live in St. Charles with their daughters Abbie and Amelia.
