Jackie Coffman joins the Big Band as a featured vocalist in 2017. She has sung with the concert jazz band at the University of Missouri-Columbia and "A Perfect Fifth" a local acoustic fold/rock group.
Sr. Gail Buckman
Sr. Gail Buckman is serving as Interim director of the Municipal Band for the 2018 season. She previously served as assistance director and currently serves as President of the Board of Directors. Sr. Gail has 25 years of service with the Municipal Band.
Dale Sharkey, has been playing trumpet in the band for three years. He teaches high school band at Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis. His wife plays oboe in the band. Dale will be guest conductor at the June 21 Municipal Band Concert.
Brent joined the band in 2017 with performing experience in community music ensembles around the country, including The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps (Rosemont, IL) and the Peoria (IL) Symphony Orchestra. Brent is the Design Consultant for Stanbury Uniforms and instructs Studio Art courses at St. Charles Community College.
Pamela Sharkey joined the band in 2017. She is a past member of the O’Fallon Community Band and the St. Charles County Symphony. She attended Truman State University many moons ago, where she was a member of the woodwind choir and the marching band drum line. She enjoys playing in the St. Charles Band with her husband, Dale.
My name is Ryan Staines and I’m new to the St. Charles Municipal Band for the 2018 season. I’m a trumpet player and music educator in the St. Louis area. I’m excited to be part of an ensemble who eagerly shares their musical talents with the St. Charles community!
Andrew is a director of bands and orchestras in the Hazelwood school district & serves as minister of music at Nazareth Temple. He has played oboe in the Municipal Band for 7 years. Andrew will be a guest conductor at the June 28 Concert.
Michael Flandermeyer has played trumpet with the St. Charles Band for 12 years, and serves as Band Vice-President. He is the former band and choir director at Lutheran High School of St. Charles County, . He is a graduate of Concordia Nebraska University and Wayne State University and plays in the church brass choir and orchestra. He will be a guest conductor with the Municipal Band this summer.
