Earl Kreder organized the Big Band in 1999 and 2018 marks his 19th season directing and playing lead alto. He has played in the Municipal Band since 1958. He serves on the Board of Directors as Treasurer and is the historian for the Band. He is retired and lives in Creve Coeur, MO.

After a THREE year hiatus due to flooding and then COVID, the Saint Charles Municipal Band will return to Frontier Park for the 2022 Summer Concert Series!
The band will play every Thursday night in June, July, and August on the Jaycee Stage Pavilion with a new concert start time of 7:30 pm.
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, food/drink and meet us, “Down By the Riverside!”
The Municipal Band will participate in the Independence Day Parade that begins on North 2nd St. to Clark St. and continues on Main St. to Boones lick . A concert by the Municipal Band will begin at Noon on the Jaycee Stage in Frontier Park following the Parade

Find out more »The Concert Band will open the concert at 7 PM after a short intermission at 8 PM the Big Band with vocalist will close out the evening entertainment.  Both Band's holiday programs can be viewed after December 1, by clicking "Find Out More" below. There is plenty of parking all around the Center with full handicap access. The Holiday Concert is free with no tickets required. Â
Find out more »Andrew is the new director of the St Charles Municipal Band. He has played oboe in the Municipal Band for 7 years. Andrew teaches and directs orchestras in the Webster Groves School System. He lives in St Charles, MO.
Sister Gail will be celebrating her 30th year with the band this season! She has been our assistant director for 29 of those years, has served on the Board of Directors, and has been the band president for the past 9 years. Outside of the band, Sister Gail is the Director of Bands at St. Gabriel the Archangel School in St. Louis. In May she will have completed her 53rd year of teaching.
