The Municipal Band lost it's longest performing musician (64 Years) this weekend with the passing of James "Jimmie" Oelkhaus. James joined the Band while in high school in 1949. He served with a U S Army Band during the Korean War and then returned to play with the Municipal Band until 2015. He was a true gentleman and will be missed by all.

David has played with the Municipal Band for 8 years and with the Big Band for 4 years. He also plays with the Gateway City Big Band. David teaches chemistry at a community college.
Debby has played flute and Piccolo in the Municipal Band for 32 years and serves as the board of directors secretary. She teaches piano at her studio in St Charles. Both of her daughters also play flute in the Band.
Vanessa has joined our Big Band as featured vocalist. She has been singing in St Louis area for past 5 years and has attended South East Missouri
2017 marks Nancy’s 25th season as director of the Municipal Band. Prior to that she played clarinet in the Band for 14 years. She taught music and directed the band in the Fort Zumwalt School District for 23 years. She is retired and lives in St Charles.
Earl Kreder organized the Big Band in 1999 and 2017 marks his 18th season directing and playing lead alto. He has played in the Municipal Band since 1958. He serves on the Board of Directors as Treasurer and is the historian for the Band. He is retired and lives in Creve Coeur, MO.
John Reichert is the principal trumpet in both the Municipal Band and Big Band. He played professionally with a touring band for 10 years before settling down in St Charles. John served on the Board of Directors as Vice President.
Michael Flandermeyer has played trumpet with the Municipal Band since 2006. He currently serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors . He teaches social studies and coaches the academic team at the Lutheran High School in St Peters, Mo.
